Ghost Tables
A per-service contingency — n tables or a share of covers — hidden from online booking. Online guests read “Online allocation full — walk-ins welcome”, never a scarcity claim. The host releases a ghost table with party size, a venue-scripted line and a table; the release and its spend are logged. Decision support shows live covers, kitchen load and the bookings arriving in the next hour, so an empty room seats a walk-in at once.
Deposits and the booking charge
Deposit per booking or per cover (none, €5, €10, €20) by weekday and party size. The booking charge is 10% of the deposit, minimum €1, paid by the diner and never refunded on a diner cancel or no-show; a venue cancel refunds everything. Forfeited deposits are shared, the larger part to the venue.
Add-ons and occasions
Shop products flagged as add-ons — a bottle at the pre-booking price, a cake, a tasting — are chosen when the table is booked and are on the table on arrival. Occasions (birthday, anniversary, business, date, celebration) travel with the booking to the host and the kitchen.
Follow-ups: in-app, WhatsApp, SMS
Confirmation, reminder 24 hours before with confirm / change / cancel and one add-on prompt, day-of welcome, a nudge 15 minutes after a missed check-in, thanks with points and a review link, a 30-day win-back. In-app through the wallet is free; WhatsApp and SMS are metered per message. Quiet hours and opt-in are respected; anonymous guests are reached through the wallet only.
The host tablet
Tonight's list, the floor with table status, the door with a QR scan and a typed fallback, seat / depart / no-show, waitlist, walk-ins, ghost release, presence counts per zone for the evacuation sheet (“table 12 · party of 4”, never names) and emergency unseal under a declared incident, logged.
Partners
A hotel concierge or a tour operator refers a table with their own link; the booking carries the partner and the commission is released after the party is seated. The same Partners layer as Entraqo tickets, one identity across the group.
Punziko
The member card in the wallet: points on deposits, pre-orders and the bar, a staff-typed receipt when there is no till, redemption as a discount line at checkout. Points move across the network; visits never do.
Works with your till — or without it
Bukkiko operates fully without any point of sale: table turns, no-shows and dwell from the host tablet, spend and points from the wallet QR at the till or a typed receipt, deposits applied by hand to the bill. A till integration (Lightspeed Restaurant first) is a convenience upgrade, never a dependency.
